I am reading right now A Mind of Its Own: A Cultural History of the Penis by David M. For my Dad, because he needs to know the history of things, I'd get this book: A Mind of Its Own, A Cultural History of the Penis (in hardcover, mind you). But it actually makes sense- the Jews had been subjugated throughout history, owned as slaves in Egypt, and put in concentration camps during World War II- of course the topic of "having" a Jew would be sensitive to Max! A transplanted limb that often grants the bearer additional powers/abilities but has a mind of its own (usually, the original owner's). A man can hold his manhood in his hand, but who is really gripping whom? A Mind of Its Own: A Cultural History of the Penis. This is probably the only history book I can say I really enjoyed reading. 'Friedman proves - with wit and learning - that our most significant organ is the one below the belt, not the one above the neck. Is the penis the best in man--or the beast?
